Week 27 and 28
Week 28, 4/2/2018
Hi guys,
Hope you had a good Easter and enjoyed General Conference. We have transfers this week, and guess what?! I'm staying. Again. I've spent over six months in WakeFax, and I'll be happy to spend six more weeks. (People usually don't stay in one area this long, but it's also not uncommon.) Elder Roper is also staying in WakeFax. I will be his first and only three-transfer companion.

I hope you all got a chance to watch General Conference. If you did not it still isn't too late. You can watch each talk individually at lds.org. As many of you probably know a lot of things happened during this conference, one of them being seven new temples being announced. One of them is going to be in India, another in Russia, and one in Richmond, Virginia. I figured I would get questions about the Richmond Virginia one, so I'm just going to answer them now. Depending on traffic from where I am it will still be faster to go to the DC temple. I'm almost sure that the DC temple will finish remodeling before it is built, and I'm even more sure that I will be off my mission by that time.
That's all I got guys.
Stay safe and go green.

Week 27 3/26/2018
Hello peoples,
As of tomorrow, I will have been on my mission for six months. Everyone on his or her mission will tell you that it goes by fast. It's not that I didn't believe everyone that told me that, but it's just bazaar to truly experience time going by so fast.
We taught a lady named M– her first lesson this week. M– works as a nurse for the elderly, she is from Tanzania, and her first language is Swahili. My older brother Jake went through a phase in high school where he tried to teach himself Swahili. Even though that was about 10 years ago I still remember a few Swahili words that he taught me. To be honest, the only word I really remember is hello, but it was enough to make M– smile. Hopefully, she wasn't smiling because of how bad my Swahili is.
The trees have started to blossom down here. Everyone talks about how beautiful spring is in DC. I imagine that it looks a lot like PA springs. Either way, I'm really excited about it.
Every six months the apostles and Prophet of our church address the current difficulties and issues of our modern world. They do this in a live broadcast that anyone is free to listen to or watch. It's called General Conference, and they will be holding one this weekend. You can watch it live on lds.org, BYU TV, YouTube (probably at the top of trending.) and you can Google LDS General Conference times. You can find out when you can watch it in your time zone or you can wait a bit and watch all of it recorded.
They have a lot of people from different backgrounds talking about some very difficult and heavy topics; to help you know how best to navigate your trials. Some of the things they've talked about in the past are addiction, family, and marriage struggles, charity, financial struggles, depression, mental health, and death. I highly encourage all of you to watch it. It really is amazing and gives you quality advice and encouragement for whatever your trial is. If you have any questions about it you can ask one of your Mormon friends.
Stay safe and watch conference
